Showplace is looking to recruit a marketing assistant as the business continues to grow.
Job purpose
Undertake daily marketing and administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department’s activities.
Contribute to the delivery of the marketing plan and projects under guidance from the marketing manager, to include the following role responsibilities.
Role responsibilities
Write project briefs for graphic designers, web agencies etc.
Update the company website with content including events listings, images and news section
Review website analytics in response to campaigns and recommend improvements for performance.
Manage third party provisions and request ad hoc changes
Create marketing and sales assets
Create and deliver marketing campaigns
Run the company’s social media pages including scheduling and posting regular and interesting content, driving engagement in different forms and responding to comments and messages.
Create and distribute email marketing campaigns using the company’s CRM system and reporting on results.
Create marketing reports as required, using the company’s CRM system.
Create and deliver a PR plan including writing press releases.
Track and report accurate metrics to support agreed KPI measurements.
Support the marketing manager in identifying opportunities for customer insight, and sourcing and analysing accurate and compliant data.
Track and report on customer retention and satisfaction, including seeking, reporting on and responding to customer feedback.
Write, edit and proofread marketing collateral including web, leaflets, emails, press releases and news articles.
Support the marketing manager in devising an annual plan for newsletters, creating content, segmenting audiences and tracking metrics and effectiveness.
Raise purchase orders and track marketing expenditure.
The successful candidate will be expected to take ownership of the following marketing responsibilities.
Manage the marketing assets including accurately updating the company’s image gallery and ensuring all other departments have access to the correct brand and marketing assets.
Actively contribute ideas for marketing programmes designed to enhance and grow the company’s brand.
Respond to incoming marketing-related queries.
Support other departments as requested in marketing-related areas such as copywriting and proofing, data compliance etc.
Essential skills and experience
Proven marketing experience
Good organisational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to work well under pressure to tight deadlines
Able to communicate confidently with clients, customers, suppliers and external agencies.
A naturally creative thinker with exceptional attention to detail
Curious, insight driven and customer-focused
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
Experience of managing social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram)
Experience of using and updating WordPress websites.

Full, clean driving licence
