Role and responsibility

Showplace is looking for a full-time yard supervisor to become a much valued member of our friendly, hardworking team and to assist with the ongoing success of the business. 

This is a hands-on practical role, based at our premises in Clifford Chambers, near Stratford-upon-Avon.

In this role, you will:

General

• Keep common areas in workshop clear/tidy
• Carry out daily forklift checks and upkeep
• Report on health and safety issues
• Organise consumables/cleaning equipment – ensure stock of both are ordered and maintained 
• Sign and check all deliveries
• Organise yard areas – stillages/trailer etc. locations – ensure ease of access to all

Structures

• Load/unload structure jobs in conjunction with the structure team
• Ensure ongoing maintenance of structures takes place, including the following:
• Sheet cleaning /drying (monitoring condition)
• Run repairs as needed (informed from site)
• Contents of stillage remains standard
• Polishing/cleaning as needed
• Advising on recoating
• Repairs/painting of stillages
• Creation on new as needed

Trailers

• Undertake certain refurbishment/maintenance projects as needed
• Assist with the preparations/loading of exhibition trailers – alongside drivers.

Site

Working on site as needed at peak times, some flexibility is required.

Requirements

Forklift licence

General handy person

Basic welding skills a bonus

Driving licence

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a degree of flexibility where some weekend and evening work is required.
