The country show season has not yet come to an end, and the Showplace managed Mazda exhibition trailer is still making the rounds. This Saturday the 14th and Sunday the 15th the trailer will be at the Essex Country Show. What was once an Essex farming family’s informal gathering of half a dozen steam engines is now the largest events of its kind in the South East, with an average of 35,000 visitors for the last 6 years. The show has an emphasis on agricultural history and rural crafts and features old steam engines, helicopter rides, a specialist food hall, lots of fun activities for the children and a huge variety of craft and trade stands.
On Sunday Showplace will have trailers out at two big sporting events. The Wiggle Super Trailer will be at the HSBC Triathlon, Duathlon and Scootathlon at Dorney Lake in Berkshire. The HSBC Traithlon offers something for everyone looking to get involved in the UK’s fastest growing sport. With the three most popular tri distances on offer plus a Duathlon and a Scootathlon for the little ones. It is truly a festival of multisport and perfect for the seasoned professional or complete novice.
The second event on Sunday will see the Asics trailer at the Great North Run, which is the second largest half marathon in the world with 55,000 runners sprinting from Newcastle, over the iconic Tyne Bridge, through Gateshead passing the famous international athletics stadium and finishing in the coastal town of South Shields. Along with the Asics trailer and staff, there will be live music, refreshments and thousands of cheering supporters at Britain’s biggest participation event.
